| Bibliography: | For more than four years, the author has been covering Iraq, one of the few women reporters to venture there and the only one who has returned time and again to reassess the disintegrating situation first hand. Humanizing a war whose face we have known almost exclusively from news items about suicide bombers, sadistic violence, and body counts, the author offers a healthy antidote to the blatant disinformation promulgated by the present administration about the Iraqi war, as well as a cogent personal view of one of the most controversial conflicts in American history. |
